The Wareham Forge was started with 'Historic Reproductions in Metals'. Darrell's passion has always been the Viking Age.

Major work was the creation of the 'Norse Encampment' living history presentation for Parks Canada at L'Anse aux Meadows NHSC. Darrell continues as a recognized specialist in the material culture of the Viking Age - and its presentation.

Darrell has created historic replicas from a wide range of historic periods, all with close attention to details. He has worked as a consultant on a number of major international exhibits : 'Vikings - North Atlantic Saga' and 'Full Circle - First Contact'. As well as replicas for museums, he creates objects for serious re-enactors. He continues as a guest lecturer and workshop leader for universities and museums.
